Beyond the immediate requirements of construction and remodeling for medical centers, woodworking firms benefited in building out implementation of required safety shields and partitions for retailers, offices, and other manufacturing businesses. This kept woodworking factories humming, producing and reconfiguring cabinetry and casegoods to meet government directives.
Likewise, revised floor plans for home offices and studies demanded services from cabinet makers, closet shops, and home remodeling firms. New and existing home sales rose at a torrid pace, driving growth in windows, doors, flooring, and cabinetry, as well as furnishings, as consumers exercised a new-found freedom to relocate without concern for commutes.
To serve these trends, wood products manufacturers of cabinetry, furniture, casegoods, flooring, doors and windows have been expanding and investing with state-of-the-art factories and advanced technologies. Woodworking Manufacturing Month celebrates these contributions in partnership with leading manufacturers taking featured roles in this celebration, and who make the biannual International Woodworking Fair a centerpiece of woodworking industry innovation.
