IWF welcomes back all media corps for IWF 2026.

Get ready for the latest industry news to unfold at North America's largest woodworking event.

Media Access and Guidelines

All media must follow event policies and respect any restrictions regarding proprietary product displays, demonstrations, or private meetings. Media credentials are issued for editorial use only and may not be used for sales, advertising, or other commercial purposes.

Anyone registering for an editorial badge must cover the IWF Show as a journalist representing print, film, radio, or digital media. In addition to receiving complimentary registration, approved media representatives are permitted to:

Access all general exhibit areas and show floor during regular event hours for the purpose of gathering news and conducting interviews.
Photograph, film, or record audio for editorial use related to event coverage (subject to exhibitor consent for booth-specific content).
Attend press conferences, media briefings, and other designated press events.
Request interviews with exhibitors, speakers, or event organizers through the appropriate IWF media channels.
Receive official press materials, media advisories, and post-show summaries.

Media Editorial Badge

All submissions for press badges are subject to IWF approval. Pre-show registration is preferred. Once approved, editorial media representatives will receive a registration code that grants complimentary registration and access to book a hotel room. Attendance at a prior Show does not automatically qualify for current Show verification; registration must be approved each Show.

Who qualifies?
Editors, television and radio producers, print/broadcast/digital reporters.
Freelance writers and photographers with a letter of assignment from an approved media outlet.
Freelance writers and photographers with a copy of a by-lined industry article published within the last six months.
Bloggers and website editors must present proof of an existing site and proof of readership/reach. Additional information may be required.

Who does not qualify?

Public relations representatives must present proof of a client relationship and register as an exhibitor.

Commercial photographers not on assignment from an approved news source.

Book authors are approved on a case-by-case basis.

Family members of legitimate media.

Media Sales Badge

This badge is for media sales and marketing representatives intending to sell ad space, or seek partnerships or sponsorships while at the Show. Media sales representatives must provide a business card with the name of the publication represented.

Photographers

Photographer Requirements

Freelance photographers with a copy of a by-lined industry article published within the last six months may register as Editorial Media. Commercial photographers not on assignment from an approved news source will not be admitted as editorial media. It is the photographer’s responsibility to obtain all necessary permission and releases.

As North America’s largest woodworking technology and design trade show and conference, IWF welcomes media from within the domestic and international woodworking industry and beyond – including publications serving the residential design, commercial design, industrial technology, business and finance sectors and more.
