In another sign that the big home improvement chain is focusing on builders, it said it would be adding partner rewards to the program.
Both Depot and its chief competitor, Lowe’s, continue to try to build out their pro programs by adding more benefits to members and this addition of partner rewards by Depot is just the latest step.
Pro members will now be able to take advantage of rewards from a number of national brands, including 7-Eleven, Jimmy John’s, Tecovas and Rosie’s AI Answering Service, Depot said in its announcement.
The new perks include a $0.25 per gallon discount on gasoline—up to five fills—at 7-Eleven; savings on $20 of orders of $100 or more at Jimmy John’s; a 20 percent discount on work boots at Tecovas; and a free trial and two months free on certain plans at Rosie’s.
“True partnership means understanding everything it takes to keep a Pro’s business moving,” said Molly Battin, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Home Depot. “We’re continuously evolving our Pro Xtra program to deliver meaningful benefits that help Pros save time and money so they can focus on supporting their teams and customers.”
The retailer initially launched its Pro Extra rewards program in 2012 and revamped it with new membership tiers and benefits in 2023. It also recently refreshed the Pro Xtra Rewards Hub to centralize all member benefits in one place, including partner offers, discounts, paint rewards, business tools and tier benefits, it said. The retailer says it selected its launch offers based on direct feedback from its Pro customers and will continue to reflect four key categories: food and beverage, fuel and fleet, lifestyle and travel and business management.
