Branding Launched for IWF Woodworking Manufacturing Month October 2021

Logo unveiled for Woodworking Manufacturing Month 2021, the new industry outreach program to support worker recruitment

Atlanta, GA – The latest advance in the Woodworking Manufacturing Month’s march to the October 2021 is the introduction of the all-industry program’s brand mark and graphic signature, which make their debut here.

Woodworking Manufacturing Month 2021 is the all-new industry outreach program showcasing product and technology innovation and advancement across the wood products industry landscape. Scheduled for October 1–31, Woodworking Manufacturing Month is created and produced by the International Woodworking Fair (IWF) on behalf of IWF’s owners, the Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America (WMMA) and the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA), for the benefit of the industry at large.

The new branding identity represents a clean, forward-leaning graphic signature highly adaptable to many settings, applications, and platforms in which it will be applied in participants’ Wood Manufacturing Month marketing communications programming.

Produced and staged under the banner Woodworking Manufacturing: Innovation Starts Here, Woodworking Manufacturing Month will celebrate woodworking industry vitality on two parallel tracks: A national awareness and outreach campaign operating in tandem with local grassroots programming initiated by participating manufacturers.

Local efforts will involve businesses across the U.S. in a collective demonstration of woodworking as a source of innovation in production technology and materials development, and as a center for applying those advances to the development and production of innovative products used across a host of market segments, including building and construction, industrial infrastructure, consumer goods, and many other markets. Local participants will benefit from a full turn-key marketing and branding resource toolkit providing ready-to-deploy digital vehicles, program logos and graphics, a digital directory/resource guide and other essential material. Equipped with these tools, participating businesses can choose to stage self-directed local events and promotions such as open houses, factory site visits and product innovation discovery days.

Beyond elevating industry visibility and championing the role of innovation as a growth engine, Woodworking Manufacturing Month aims to position the woodworking industry as a career destination. The industry embraces hundreds of woodworking suppliers, including developers of design systems, manufacturers of equipment and related technology, suppliers of lumber, panel, hardware, fasteners, coatings, and adhesives.

The woodworking industry also includes thousands of wood products manufacturers who put these elements to use to manufacture cabinetry, furniture, doors, floors, windows, millwork and industrial wood components like railroad ties, truck beds, and telephone poles. These products supply fundamental industries that form the backbone of the U.S. economy. Formally known by economists as the Secondary Wood Manufacturing Industry, woodworking products support housing, utilities, shipping, recreational boats and vehicles, and business aircraft to name just a few examples.
