NC State University’s Sustainable Materials and Technology Program is a unique, STEM-focused undergraduate program within the Department of Forest Biomaterials at NC State that prepares students to develop, analyze, and improve materials and technologies with sustainability at the core. Our students gain hands-on experience through lab work, project-based learning, and industry-connected opportunities, preparing them for careers in engineering, manufacturing, product development, sustainability, advanced materials and so much more.
