Course Description

Presented by: Woodacademy

More and more woodworking projects need to incorporate parts or features made of plastics. This primer course will explore the most common plastics used, the best blades and bits for working them without buying specialty tooling, and some of the typical problems encountered when working with plastics. Basic techniques for cutting, fabrication and bending will be explored as well as discussions of CNC milling. As the handout for the seminar, participants will receive an advanced copy of Ralph’s book, “Working with Plastics in Your Woodshop” from Fox Chapel Publishing to be released Fall 2026.
