International Woodworking Fair, LLC - Privacy Policy
The International Woodworking Fair, LLC (IWF) respects your privacy and recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of the IWF Web site. We will not intentionally disclose personal identifiable information about our customers or members to any third party without specific consent or prior notice to our users. "Personal identifiable information" is information that enables us to identify you, such as your email address, name, title and mailing address. The following policy guidelines were developed with a fundamental respect for our users’ right to privacy to guide our relationships with our users.
Does IWF request personal information?
Yes, we do. IWF may ask for general information in some instances. This may include your name, E-mail address, and other personal information when you sign up for our services by filling out online forms. We may also ask for such information at other times, such as when you request information or enter areas with restricted access.
IWF will not disclose any of your personal information, except as described below; when we believe, in good faith, that the law requires it; or to protect the rights or property of IWF. IWF does disclose aggregated user statistics (for example, 75% of our users are interested in specific topic areas) in order to describe our services to prospective exhibitors, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.
Under confidentiality agreements, IWF may match user information with third party data. If and when we do match user information, we endeavor to keep personal information confidential from those third parties.
Additionally, if you elect to contact exhibitors, partners, associates or make a purchase from our site, the information obtained during your visit to these areas, and the information that you give such as your credit card number and contact information, is provided to the person of record. These can be IWF or third party companies. These companies have separate privacy and data collection practices. IWF has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies.
How does IWF use my personal information?
By knowing a little about you, IWF is able to deliver more relevant content and hence a better service, to you. IWF’s goal in collecting personal information is to provide you, the user, with the most intuitive Web experience possible. In addition, we provide our exhibitors with an efficient means to reach the right audience.
In our role of delivering targeted information, IWF provides exhibitor information to users meeting criteria provided by the user. In this process, the exhibitor never has access to individual account information. Only IWF has access to individuals' personal information.
Does IWF use cookies and "IP Addresses"?
Yes, cookies are used throughout the IWF web site. Cookies are only used for reporting aggregate site traffic information. Each browser accessing IWF is given a unique cookie to determine initial usage versus repeat usage of specific pages and areas of the IWF web site.
A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID, but no personal identifiable information is included in a cookie. IWF does not correlate this information with data about individual users, nor does it share this information or sell it to any third party.
If you prefer not to receive cookies while visiting the IWF site, or any Web site, you can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies and refuse the cookie when your browser alerts you to its presence. You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser. You do not need to have cookies turned on to view any area of the IWF site.
What else should I know about my privacy?
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example by submitting online forms, or through e-mail – your information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
The password protected areas of this Web site can only be accessed with a valid ID and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and confidential, and for notifying us if you believe that your password has been stolen or might otherwise be misused.
Furthermore, while we strive to protect your personal information, IWF cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. In addition, IWF exhibitors and third party Internet sites and services accessible through IWF or parties whom we inform you are collecting data in connection with sweepstakes, promotions, etc., have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of us. IWF has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions. In addition, in connection with the sale or transfer of the business (in whole or in part), such information may be sold or transferred to the purchaser of the business.
